2009 Fall/Winter Line Photo Shoot!

We had the most amazing photo shoot the other night that I can barely stand to think that I have to wait for the results! I was able to capture the talented Tovah (photographer) and the lovely models with my own camera while they were hard at work. Vintage Home

First and foremost, please excuse my lack of posting. We are currently in the midst of selling our home and getting into our NEW HOME! I am insanely excited and can't seem to focus on anything except the new house. So, not many new fashion shots or paintings being completed. Stay tuned though as I am feeling a creative spurt coming on!
I have been thrifting again and like I said, my focus is the house. I wanted to share my vintage home finds (for my own family, sorry won't be putting them in the shop). Although we don't have room for them currently, we have situated them in the window nook until the big move in 29 days. I found the chair/end table and matching end table at Goodwill and the two AMAZING lamps at our local Knoxville Area Rescue Ministries. I snagged them off the guy when he was bringing them out of the back! ha!

Celebration!

I am happy to say that the reason for celebration is seven, count them, SEVEN blissful years of marriage with the best man on Earth. I am so excited to have our romantic evening out tonight. Dinner, strolling through our beautiful city, after dinner cocktails and dessert, and finishing the evening with Knoxville's own Boomsday Firework Extravanganza. Wow.
I have been wanting to wear this all silk vintage jumper for a night on the town and thought tonight would be the perfect night for it. So here is my "What I wore" for today...or tonight.

Living Vintage, Seymour TN

Today's post is about this fab vintage home decor and furniture shop local to all you Knoxvillian's. Since it is just outside the city and just before entering beautiful Seymour, TN (where we will be residing soon), perhaps you haven't stopped in yet.
Living Vintage is proud to be a small family owned business and these ladies sure have a knack for vintage home design! I may go to them for some design advice once we move. Ooohh..another fun post...
Here's your sneak peak into their fun little vintage atmosphere located at 8745 Chapman Hwy in Knoxville. Another thing I love is that they are truly old fashioned and do not sell their items online so now you have no excuse. Roll on down the road and check it out. Tell them I sent you!

Upcycling an old skirt of mine

This adorable little skirt has forever been too long on me. I am a real shorty and totally okay with that. Although I frequently clean out my closet or try to do fashion trading with friends, I have kept this skirt for some reason. I wasn't ready to give it to Goodwill. Just knew I could use it for "good" someday. I decided to go ahead and upcycle this baby and put it in the store. I just did my simple "mini bustles" and hitched it up a bit. Totally makes the skirt in my opinion! What do you all think?

Unstable

I have never really noticed how unbelievably unstable I am. I mean, I know that I am pretty clumsy. Ryan once told me ages ago that I was the clumsiest bartender he had ever met. Ummmm...thanks.

I did notice today while editing photo after photo for my shop, that my instability is very evident if a camera is constantly following me for hours. And I always thought I was a pretty good dancer and gymnast. I am really rethinking things.

En Vacances

Although my life, art, and clothing is normally so full of color, I am loving the photos in B&W from our family vacation. I love these people with all my heart. Okay, maybe not the guy dancing on the bar. I don't even know him. But it is a great picture.
